Authorities release name of woman killed on I-35 when she was run over by 18-wheeler

A woman was killed early Tuesday when she was run over by an 18-wheeler truck after she was ejected from her vehicle due to a crash, Fort Worth police said.

Rashida Ester, 43, of Fort Worth, suffered massive blunt-force trauma, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ester hit a wall as she drove north on I-35 about 12:30 a.m., causing her vehicle to become disabled. Another vehicle heading north T-boned Ester’s vehicle, police said, and she was thrust into a traffic lane.

An 18-wheeler then ran her over.

A male passenger with Ester and the driver of the vehicle that T-boned them were taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
