Distracted driver hits two pedestrians on Fort Worth street, police say

Two people suffered serious injuries Friday morning when they were hit by a distracted driver in a pickup truck just northeast of downtown Fort Worth, according to police and a MedStar official.

Police did not release any information on what distracted the motorist.

One man was seriously injured and another man was listed as suffering critical injuries, according to a MedStar official. One victim suffered a broken jaw and the other man suffered a head injury and other broken bones, police said.

The names of the victims have not been released by authorities.

The accident was reported shortly before 8 a.m. at Samuels Avenue and Cold Springs Road.

Police did not release any other details on the accident such as if the driver faces any charges.
