Girl taken to hospital after being pulled from Fort Worth pool; parents performed CPR

The parents of a girl who nearly drowned Friday in a north Fort Worth community pool performed CPR on her in the minutes after she was pulled from the water, authorities said.

The girl, who is either four or five years old, was taken by ambulance to Cook Children’s Medical Center in serious condition. Her injuries were not life-threatening, a Medstar spokesman said.

Police were called at about 7:30 p.m. to the pool on Chuparosa Drive, near Harmon Road and Heritage Trace Parkway.
