Fort Worth man arrested in fatal shooting of teen in apartment parking lot, police say
A Fort Worth man accused of shooting a teen to death last month in a parking lot was arrested on Easter in Bedford, police said Monday.
Police identified the suspect as Kevin Don Sanders, 21, of Fort Worth.
Sanders was in a vehicle that was pulled over for a traffic violation Sunday by Bedford police. Authorities determined he was wanted in connection with a homicide in Fort Worth.
Sanders was booked into the Fort Worth Jail shortly after 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Sanders is accused of killing 18-year-old Donald Evans in a Fort Worth apartment complex parking lot.
Patrol officers responded to a fight call about 9 p.m. on March 17 in the 8000 block of Joshua Drive. When they arrived, police found a man dead at the scene. That man was later identified as Donald Evans.
Sanders was in the Tarrant County Jail on Monday facing a charge of murder. A bail amount had not been set.
