1 dead, 1 injured after fight leads to shooting at Fort Worth apartment, police say

One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting at an apartment complex in south Fort Worth, according to police.

Officers were sent to 8008 Joshua Drive at 9 p.m., Officer Buddy Calzada confirmed.

A police call log says at least 50 people were seen fighting at the Sycamore Center Villas — near Sycamore School and Crowley roads.

A second person showed up to a local hospital with a gunshot wound about 20 minutes after the shooting, according to the call log. The condition of the victim at the hospital is unknown, Calzada said.

The identity of the deceased victim has not been released.

No other information was immediately available.
