One person killed in traffic wreck on Fort Worth freeway
One person was killed Sunday morning in a traffic crash on Chisholm Trail Parkway, according to police and a MedStar official.
The victim was Lanette Fox, 47, of Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office website on Monday. A ruling on her death is pending an autopsy.
The crash happened at around 11:15 a.m. on northbound Chisholm Trail Parkway near Arborlawn, according to Staff Lt. Lonny Haschel of the Department of Public Safety.
A preliminary investigation shows that the driver of a Chevrolet Cruze car was heading north when, for an unknown reason, the driver left the roadway and hit a concrete pillar, Haschel said.
The driver was the only occupant of the car.
The investigation is still ongoing.
