Fight outside of club ends in fatal shooting of Fort Worth man, search is on for suspect

A man was shot and killed early Sunday outside of a club on Miller Avenue in Fort Worth, police said.

A 43-year-old Fort Worth man was shot to death early Sunday outside of a club during a dispute with another man, according to news reports and police.

No other injuries were reported in the shooting, which occurred early Sunday near the Club New Start in the 4500 block of Miller Avenue.

The victim was identified as Manuel Brown who was pronounced dead at 1:42 a.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office website on Sunday.

KDFW-TV reported two men were involved in a disturbance inside of the club, and they went outside where they fought. During the fight, the suspect pulled a gun out and shot Brown.

The gunman fled the scene.

Police did not release any information on what started the fight.

Brown was taken to a local hospital where he died, police said.
