Man shot and killed outside Fort Worth strip club; 3 others injured

A man was killed and three others wounded in a shooting early Thursday in the parking lot of a Fort Worth gentleman’s club, police said.

It began with an altercation outside the club and ended in the parking lot of Corsets Cabaret at 8128 Camp Bowie West Blvd., said police Capt. Todd Wadlington.

Police responded to the shooting call shortly after 1:30 a.m.

The man who was killed was pronounced dead at the scene, Wadlington said. The three other victims — two men and a woman — were transported to local hospitals, Wadlington said.

The victim who was killed was identified on Thursday afternoon as Henry Lee, a 31-year-old black man, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

One of the surviving male victims was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, said MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky. The woman was transported with minor injuries, he said.

Wadlington said the other surviving male victim was driven by private vehicle to the hospital and not taken by ambulance.

It was unclear what prompted the altercation.

At the scene Thursday morning, a man who wouldn’t identify himself but who said he spoke for the club said that he and the staff had no comment.

Homicide detectives continue to work the scene, Wadlington said.

“This is still an active scene and details are still coming in from potential witnesses,” Wadlington said.
