Woman walking on Fort Worth highway killed after being hit by vehicles, police say

A woman walking on Interstate 30 was killed early Sunday after being hit by several vehicles, police said.

The name of the victim had not been released by authorities.

Police responded to the major accident shortly before 3:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of Interstate 30 in the eastbound lanes.

Witnesses told police the woman was walking westbound in the eastbound lanes when she was hit by a vehicle.

While lying on the highway, the woman was run over by two other vehicles, police said.

All drivers stopped after hitting the woman, police said.

An investigation continued Sunday.
