Man killed, woman critically injured in Dallas motorcycle crash, police say
A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after the pair were ejected from a speeding motorcycle that crashed in Dallas on Monday night, police said.
The man, a 40-year-old whose identity wasn’t released, was operating the motorcycle, police said in an email. The 38-year-old woman was riding on the back.
The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 12500 lane of TI Boulevard where there’s a bridge, police said. Officers determined the man was riding the motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he failed to make a turn at a curve in the roadway and crashed into the curb.
The bike went up onto the sidewalk and collided with the bridge railing before coming to a stop in the middle of the road, police said.
Both the man and the woman were reportedly thrown from the bike.
They were transported to hospitals, police said. The man was pronounced dead.
The woman was in critical condition Tuesday morning, police said.
