Nine Bloods street gang members indicted in connection with violent robberies in DFW
Nine members of a prolific armed robbery crew in Dallas-Fort Worth were indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury.
The suspects, who authorities said are connected to the Bloods street gang, committed at least seven and up to 40 robberies in the Metroplex between October 2016 and May, according to the indictment.
The men are mostly from Cedar Hill. They are:
▪ Charles Lampkins, aka “K3” and “Kc,” age 20
▪ Justin Gilbert, aka “Slim,” age 21
▪ Jahad Givens, aka “Had,” age 21
▪ Terance Ross Johnson, aka “TJ,” age 21
▪ Jaala Dill, 19, of Dallas
▪ Darius Devvion Hinton, aka “Stanka,” age 20
▪ Billterious Dominique Lewis, aka “Bill T,” age 21
▪ Xavion Mitchell George, age 23
▪ Joel Louis Davis, age 20
The men face 10 counts of interference with commerce by robbery related to the armed robberies, according to a Justice Department press release Thursday.
The robberies took place at motels, hotels and other commercial establishments in Arlington, Grand Prairie and around North Texas, according to the indictment.
Lampkins led the group, according to the document. Some members performed pre-robbery surveillance of targeted locations, others pointed firearms at the heads of tellers and cashiers, and others served as getaway drivers.
The men often wore dark clothes and hoodies as disguises. One man wore a fake blue beard attached to a knitted hat, according to the indictment.
If convicted, each offense carries up to 20 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine. Lampkins faces an additional count, bringing his total to 11, for using, carrying, brandishing and discharging a firearm, which carries a maximum of life in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
The FBI, Arlington police, Dallas police and about eight other North Texas law enforcement agencies participated in the investigation and arrests.
The defendants are set to be arraigned next week.
