Arlington woman dies after being struck by a pickup outside her job
Police are investigating a collision that killed a 64-year-old Arlington woman on Wednesday.
The collision occurred about 2:20 p.m. Oct. 30 at a Walmart located in the 2200 Interstate 20, but Rumalda Imperial, an employee at the store, died from the injuries she sustained after she was hit by a 2015 Dodge pickup, according to a news release from police.
Imperial had just gotten off work and was in the crosswalk in front of the store when she was hit by the pickup driven by a 24-year-old Dallas woman, the release said.
Imperial was taken to Medical Center Arlington.
This was the 14th traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year.
