Fort Worth police investigate after man shot in throat, officials say
Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting that injured a man Wednesday night.
Officers responded to John Peter Smith Hospital about 9:15 p.m. after someone reported a man who had arrived for treatment for a gunshot wound to the throat, the 911 call sheet states. The man had been shot at another location and taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, police said.
The injured man is in stable condition, according to police. Detectives from the Gun Violence Unit are investigating the shooting. No arrests have been announced.
