Minor crashes into Fort Worth police car. She was intoxicated, police say

A teen girl suspected of driving under the influence faces charges after crashing into a Fort Worth police car Saturday night on U.S. 287 in Fort Worth, police said.

Investigators determined that a girl driving a red Chevy Silverado was traveling south at 350 S. Riverside Drive when she failed to yield right of way during a left turn onto the 287 southbound ramp, police said in a statement.

The Chevy Silverado crashed into a Fort Worth police car that was traveling north on. Riverside, with its front end hitting the front driver side of the police vehicle, according to police.

The girl, who has not been identified, faces a charge for driving under the influence by a minor and was released to her parents at the hospital, police said.

Further details about the condition of the officer or the girl were not released.
