A 52-year-old man was arrested in Arlington on Wednesday after a woman accused him of sexually abusing her as a child, police said.

Rodney Reyna is being held in the Tarrant County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He faces one count of indecency with a child sexual contact, according to police and court records.

On April 23, a young woman came forward to accuse Reyna of “inappropriate sexual contact,” police said. The alleged abuse occurred around 12 or 13 years ago when the victim was a minor.

Detectives with the Arlington Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit conducted a thorough investigation, according to police, and obtained a warrant for Reyna’s arrest. He was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force.

Reyna’s attorney, James Luster, was not immediately available for comment Saturday.
