Two people were shot and killed at an apartment complex in Hurst on Thursday afternoon, police said.

Hurst police officers and firefighters responded to the shooting about 3:20 p.m. at the Whispering Run Apartments in the 600 block of Bellaire Drive, police said in a news release.

When first responders arrived, they found a male and a female who died from gunshot wounds inside an apartment, police said. Authorities did not share further details about what led to the shooting or the ages of the victims.
