A person was shot near where a pool party was being held at a far southwest Fort Worth apartment complex on Sunday night, police said.

Fort Worth police officers responded to the shooting about 9 p.m. in the 5400 block of Baldy Creek Trail, in the Summer Creek area, police said in a statement.

A 911 caller reported that more than 100 people, most of whom don’t live in the apartment complex, were smoking weed in the swimming pool area, according to the police call log.

When officers arrived, they found a male victim with a gunshot wound to the back. The shooting victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said. No arrests have been announced in the shooting.
