Man stabbed in west Fort Worth in possible case of mistaken identity, police say
A 52-year-old man was stabbed and injured Wednesday night in west Fort Worth in what may have been a case of mistaken identity, police said.
Officers responded to the 2800 block of Las Vegas Trail shortly before 7 p.m. They found a man who’d been stabbed multiple times, according to police. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
Preliminary information indicated the stabbing victim may have been mistaken for another person, police said.
William Johnson was later arrested in connection with the attack. The 54-year-old suspect was booked into the Fort Worth City Jail early Thursday and faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to police records.
