North Texas woman accused of stabbing husband and setting their home on fire
A 58-year-old North Texas woman was arrested after she was accused of stabbing her husband and setting their house on fire on Monday, police said.
Carrollton police officers responded to the stabbing about 1:40 a.m. in the 3600 block of Old Denton Road, police said in a news release.
When officers arrived, Carolina Macias was found sitting on the front porch, police said. The suspect told officers that her husband, 62-year-old Ramon Macias, was still inside the burning home.
Police said officers were unable to enter the house due to the intensity of the fire. Carrollton Fire Rescue found Ramon Macias inside the home, and he had been stabbed in the abdomen, according to police.
The couple were taken to a hospital, where Ramon Macias died, police said.
Carolina Macias was arrested on a murder charge and taken to the Carrollton Jail, according to the release.
