2 pedestrians hit by suspected drunk driver in downtown Fort Worth, police say

Two people walking in downtown Fort Worth were struck by a suspected drunk driver Saturday, police said.

The driver, 32-year-old Gabriella Sosa, was arrested and faces charges of intoxication assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury, police said.

Fort Worth police officers responded to the crash at 12:15 a.m. in the 200 block of N. Houston Street, police said in a statement.

When officers arrived, they learned that Sosa struck two pedestrians with her vehicle, causing serious bodily injury, police said.

The pedestrians were treated on scene by the Fort Worth Fire Department and taken to a local hospital, police said.

Traffic Investigation Unit detectives are working to determine further details about the crash, according to police.
