A 26-year-old woman was found dead in a south Fort Worth apartment Wednesday night in an apparently domestic-related homicide.

Officers responded to the 7300 block of Harris Parkway shortly before noon for a welfare check. They searched the area, but couldn’t find the individual they’d been asked to check on, police said.

Officers obtained a search warrant from the Missing Persons Unit about 7 p.m. and entered the apartment. The woman they were looking for was dead. Police didn’t indicate how the woman died, but said the officers found “evidence of a crime.”

Investigators believe the woman died in a domestic-related homicide, according to police. The suspect is known, but had not been arrested as of Thursday morning.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has identified the woman as Talia Alicia Nadine Sanchez. Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to contact the Fort Worth Police Department at 817-392-4222. Tips may be submitted anonymously through Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 469tips.com or 817-469-8477.
