Fort Worth police seek three juveniles in investigation of fatal shooting
Fort Worth police are looking for three juveniles as they continue to investigate two shootings that occurred the night of Jan. 30, including one that killed a 66-year-old woman.
The victim, Magdalene Mancho, was shot by a stray bullet that entered her home, the Star-Telegram previously reported.
Fire department crews responded about 8:50 p.m. to Mancho’s residence in the 3400 block of Tahiti Lane for what was initially believed to be a medical call. She was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where medical personnel determined she had been shot in the neck. She died at the hospital.
About an hour prior to EMS arriving at the woman’s home, police received a report of shots fired in the area, officials said. Investigators think someone fired a gun outside, and the bullet entered the Mancho’s home, striking her.
Detectives determined that three juveniles were involved in a separate shooting on the same block of Tahiti Lane prior to the fatal incident, police said in a news release on Tuesday. Investigators want to speak to them about both cases.
Anyone with information about the identity of the juveniles or either shooting is urged to contact Homicide Detective Anderson at 817-392-4342. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477).
