Man stabbed while trying to repossess vehicle, Fort Worth police say

A 58-year-old man was critically injured in a stabbing while trying to repossess a vehicle at a 7-Eleven gas station on Thursday night in Fort Worth, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the store in the 1000 block of Missouri Avenue at 4:43 p.m. in response to a report of a cutting, a police spokesperson said.

Police found that two men became involved in a fight after the victim attempted to repossess the suspect’s car, according to a statement.

The suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim, police said. The suspect was arrested, and the victim was taken to a hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition.

Jail records identify the suspect as 55-year-old Homer Blocker, of Fort Worth. He was booked into the Tarrant County Jail and faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bond has not been set.
