A man was injured in a domestic violence shooting Wednesday night in Mansfield, and two suspects have been detained, police said.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Kings Way Drive about 7:40 p.m. after multiple callers reported shots fired in the area, Mansfield police said in a news release. A 23-year-old man had been shot in the face and hand.

The injured man was taken to Methodist Mansfield Medical Center for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery, according to the release.

A man and woman were detained while trying to leave the area in a car. Investigators determined the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute between them and the injured man, police said.
