A motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Grand Prairie on Tuesday afternoon, officials with the Grand Prairie Police Department said.

The motorcyclist was northbound in the 3400 block of Trinity Boulevard and collided with an SUV that was traveling south and then made a left turn, police said.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to the statement. The driver of the SUV was not injured and is cooperating with police.

Investigators have not ruled out that speed was a factor in the crash, police said.

The dead motorcyclist will be identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once family has been notified.
