A 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday night after an armed robbery in Arlington led to a police chase that ended in Fort Worth, Arlington police said.

Arlington police officers received a report around 5:15 p.m. about the armed robbery, which happened at an apartment complex in the 3300 block of Cypresswood Trail, police said.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, told officers he had gone to the apartment complex to meet a friend. While he was there, multiple suspects reportedly stole money from him at gunpoint and drove away, police said.

The victim was able to provide officers with a description of the suspects’ vehicle, a black Jeep Cherokee. Officers later found the Cherokee traveling west along Interstate 30, police said.

Officers tried to stop the Jeep, but the driver kept going, leading to a brief chase into Fort Worth, police said.

When the Jeep was headed south on Loop 820, it collided with two other vehicles near Berry Street and became disabled, police said. Two suspects then got out of the Cherokee and ran away, police said.

Police said the people in the other cars involved in the crash were not injured.

Police said at least one other suspect remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing.

Officers found multiple guns inside the Cherokee, including one that was reported stolen, police said.
