A 25-year-old man was shot and injured Friday night during a robbery attempt in south Fort Worth, police said.

Officers responded to the Murphy USA gas station at 4701 Altamesa Blvd. about 9:45 p.m. They found a person who’d been shot, according to Fort Worth Police.

It’s not clear if the attempted robbery and shooting took place on Altamesa Boulevard or at another location in the area. No arrests have been announced.

The injured man was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive, police said. Robbery detectives are investigating the incident.
