A police officer was hit and at least five people were arrested after an argument at a southwest Fort Worth entertainment center escalated into violence early Tuesday, officials said.

Officers were dispatched to Main Event Entertainment, located at 4801 Citylake Blvd. E., about midnight. According to the 911 call sheet, someone reported that a man hit another man in the face and stole his wallet.

Arriving officers found people arguing “regarding a reported found wallet,” police said. They tried to de-escalate the disturbance, but a large crowd started to gather. Some individuals were detained, and one of their family members tried to interfere and hit an officer, police said.

A 33-year-old woman, Tashanika Raymond, was booked into the Fort Worth City Jail and faces a charge of assault of a peace officer, according to police records.

Two people — 25-year-old Donjai Raymond and 30-year-old Leonard Raymond — face a charge of assault causing bodily injury. Fifty-year-old Tanya Raymond and 21-year-old Klyn Bowden face a charge of interference with public duties, police records state.

It’s not clear how many people were injured or the extent of their injuries. According to police, it’s believed alcohol was a contributing factor in the incident.
