Three separate shootings were reported early Monday morning in Fort Worth. Two people were killed, and two others were injured, and police are investigating all three cases.

Two people including a 19-year-old man were killed and two more, including a 10-year-old boy, were injured in at least three separate shootings in Fort Worth early Monday morning, police said.

Fort Worth police officers responded to the shooting calls between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., according to a police spokesperson.

In the homicide case, dozens of units were dispatched about 2:20 a.m. to a house where a party was being held in the 7100 block of Avington Way, in far south Fort Worth. A 911 dispatcher who took the call reported “a lot of commotion” in the background.

Witnesses carried one gunshot victim, who had a wound to the upper body, toward the road, police said. Medics pronounced that person dead at the scene.

Officers found a second shooting victim, who had a gunshot wound to the neck, in a vehicle a short distance from the house, police said. That person also died at the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified one of the people who died as 19-year-old Emiliano Serna. He was found in the grass in front of a home and was pronounced dead about 2:50 a.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.

Homicide detectives learned that an advertised party was being held at the house. Investigators were told that shots were fired when a fight escalated between one victim and the suspect. The suspect ran from the scene after shooting the first victim, police said.

The second victim was shot moments later, and detectives are working to determine whether both victims were shot by the same person.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Emiliano Serna, 19, was killed in a shooting at a house party early Monday morning, July 21, in south Fort Worth, authorities said.

10-year-old shoots himself in hand

In a separate shooting in far south Fort Worth, police responded about 1:20 a.m. to a call in the 1500 block of Burmeister Road. Officers found that a 10-year-old boy had shot himself in the hand with a handgun, police said.

The child was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, police said. The Crimes Against Children Unit is investigating.

One person shot on Ellis Avenue

About 3 a.m., officers were dispatched to a house in the 3500 block of Ellis Avenue, in north Fort Worth near Meacham Airport, where they found one victim who had been shot, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have not identified a motive or a suspect in the shooting, a spokesperson said. The gun violence unit is investigating.
