1 killed, at least 2 injured Sunday in separate shootings, Fort Worth police say

Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead outside a nightclub on the city’s Northside early Sunday.

Officers responded to the shooting about 2:30 a.m. July 6 in the 3100 block of N. Main Street, police said.

When officers arrived, they found the victim on the ground in the club’s parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound to his torso, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as 19-year-old Julian Edwardo Mileo.

Detectives determined the victim was approached by a group of people who had been involved in a fight, which was broken up by witnesses. Multiple suspects went to a car in the parking lot, retrieved guns and fired at the victim, striking him at least one time, police said.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle. No arrests have been made.

More shootings on Sunday

Police also responded to an unrelated shooting Sunday morning outside a home in northeast Fort Worth after a 911 caller reported that a man had been shot in the face.

Officers responded to the shooting in the 8800 block of Pedernales Trail, south of Texas 10, around 1:30 a.m., police said.

When they arrived, officers found the shooting victim seated in a vehicle. He was taken to a hospital.

Police said the victim was not able to give any further information about the shooting.

And in another unrelated shooting, officers responded to the 1500 block of E. Presidio Street, just south of E. Lancaster Avenue, around 8:20 a.m., police said.

When officers arrived on scene they found that two woman were firing guns in the air. The suspect told police that shots were being fired toward them and returned fire, striking one of the women, police said.

Police said the woman was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives spoke with the suspect, who is not in custody at this time, police said.
