A juvenile was shot and injured at a south Fort Worth apartment complex Thursday night after an argument escalated into violence, police said.

Officers responded to the 5200 block of Prairie Lookout Drive about 8:50 p.m. after several people reported a shooting at that location. Two people were arguing, and one of them pulled out a gun. The other party also pulled out a gun, and “shots were exchanged,” according to police.

The juvenile was injured in the shooting but is expected to recover, police said. The shooting victim was taken by private vehicle to a hospital. Officials didn’t release the victim’s age.

No arrests have been announced. Detectives from the Gun Violence Unit will investigate the shooting.
