White Settlement police have arrested a man they say shot a teenage girl three times after robbing her outside her home Tuesday, according to an affidavit obtained by the Star-Telegram.

The man, identified in the arrest warrant affidavit as 20-year-old Alejandro Carrasco Jr., allegedly robbed the teen as she tried to buy illegal vape pens from him, police said. The victim had contacted Carrasco on Instagram regarding the purchase and gave him her home address to deliver the pens, according to the affidavit.

The victim told police that Carrasco arrived at her home and he told her to come outside to meet him “because he did not want to get robbed,” the affidavit states. As the victim stood outside Carrasco’s vehicle with $320 in her hand, Carrasco grabbed the money, aimed a handgun at the victim and shot her multiple times before driving away, police said.

The victim was able to describe Carrasco to police and paramedics while being prepared for emergency surgery, according to the affidavit.

Fort Worth police later notified White Settlement officers that Carrasco had shown up at an emergency room with a gunshot wound to his right foot.

Doctors confirmed the teen had been shot three times and suffered damage to her kidney, liver and stomach. Both Carrasco and the victim are still being treated at hospitals for their injuries, police said on Wednesday night.
