2 injured in unrelated south Fort Worth shootings, police say

Two people were injured in unrelated shootings Thursday morning, May 8, in south Fort Worth, police said.

Officers were called to the 10400 block of Manhassett Drive shortly before 3:30 a.m. Someone had driven by a house in the area and fired shots, police said. An individual inside the home was hit by a bullet and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are unknown, according to police. Detectives from the Gun Violence Unit are investigating the shooting.

Officers responded to McCart Avenue and Altamesa Boulevard about 5:20 a.m. Police said they believe the shooting took place during a robbery.

One person was shot in the hip and taken to a hospital. The victim’s injuries aren’t life-threatening, according to police. No arrests have been announced.
