Fort Worth police are investigating the attempted assault of a TCU student on Thursday morning, according to a campus public safety alert.

About 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, an unidentified suspect grabbed a female student who was walking in the 2400 block of Winton Terrace East, according to the alert. The location is on the west side of Forest Park, near the Fort Worth Zoo.

The man who grabbed the student was described as heavy-set with curly hair. He was wearing a black and gray beanie hat, a brown long-sleeve sweater and blue jeans.

The suspect grabbed the student from behind and attempted to physically assault her, police said.

The man ran north from the scene, according to the alert.

TCU sent an image of the suspect from a neighbor’s Ring surveillance camera video. If you see this person, you should contact police immediately, officials said.

TCU’s academic year ends this week. The university is hosting thousands of guests this weekend for its 2025 Spring Commencement ceremonies.
