The Sheriff’s Office has arrested two suspects in a triple homicide about a week after the three victims were killed at a home in southern Parker County, authorities said.

In an update on Wednesday, the Parker County Sheriff’s Office said charges have been dismissed against a third man who had been arrested. Further investigation exonerated 45-year-old Dennis Craig Alexander from any involvement in the murder case and he was released from jail, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

The two suspects still in custody are 19-year-old Barrett Copeland and 27-year-old Trin Lawrence McKnight. Copeland and McKnight gave information to authorities that initially led to Alexander being identified as a suspect, but investigators said they later determined he was not involved.

Two of the three victims were husband and wife Tiffany Ann Williams, 44, and David Dewayne Walker, 42. The third victim was identified as Robbie Allen Head, 55, who also lived at the couple’s home.

The investigation began on April 21, when sheriff’s deputies were called to the victims’ residence in the 100 block of Myrtle Lane to take a missing persons’ report. A concerned family member reported they had been unable to reach Williams, investigators said.

The Sheriff’s Office had asked for the public’s help to find Williams, Walker and Head after investigators determined they might be in danger.

A few days later, detectives found the victims’ bodies nearby in northern Hood County, along FM 167/Temple Hall Highway next to a creek, authorities said on Thursday, April 24.

Detectives determined that the killings occurred on Sunday, April 20, at the victims’ home. Autopsy results are pending to determine their cause of death.

Copeland and McKnight will face charges of capital murder, the Sheriff’s Office said. They are incarcerated in the Parker County Jail. Their bonds have been set at $1 million each.

Copeland also faces a charge of burglary of a habitation with an additional bond amount of $50,000, authorities said. McKnight also had an outstanding warrant from Tarrant County for his arrest on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

The murder investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Texas Rangers, authorities said.
