Tarrant County sheriff’s deputies raided a Westlake poker club and arrested two people Thursday, officials with the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies also seized $4,000 in cash, poker tables and chips from the Copa Club, located at 63 Tarragona Drive in Westlake.

A monthslong investigation by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office’s Game Room Enforcement Unit led to the discovery of an illegal poker room, officials said.

The two people arrested face charges of promotion of gambling and engaging in organized crime, according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.

Tarrant County Jail records identify the suspects as Mark Hulme, 66, of Coppell, and Scott Whittington, 53, of Ponder.

Hulme was being held Thursday on $2,250 bond, and Whittington’s bond was set at $1,500.

More arrest warrants are expected, the Sheriff’s Office said.
