A 28-year-old has been arrested out-of-state in connection with a fatal shooting that killed one man outside an Arlington nightclub in November, police said.

Luigin Alberto Perez-Millan has been charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, Arlington police said in a news release. He’s being held at the Seward County Detention Center in Nebraska while he waits extradition back to Texas.

Arlington police responded to the Opium nightclub in the 3200 block of Justiss Drive around 5:25 a.m. on Nov. 17. A man with gunshot wounds was lying unresponsive in the parking lot, officials said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 22-year-old Janderver Saul Urbina-Betancourt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives believe Perez-Millan and the victim both attended an event at the nightclub, police said. Urbina-Betancourt and another person were arguing in the parking lot shortly before 5:25 a.m. when someone opened fire.

Urbina-Betancourt was fatally struck, but the individual he’d been arguing with wasn’t injured. That witness later identified Perez-Millan from a photo lineup as the shooter, according to the release.

Multiple other witnesses also came forward with information that helped identify the suspect, police said. Investigators don’t believe Perez-Millan and the victim knew each other or had any interaction prior to the shooting. It’s unknown why the suspect fired toward Urbina-Betancourt and the other individual.

Nebraska State Police and members of the U.S. Marshals Service located Perez-Millan on a highway in Seward County, Nebraska, on Saturday, Dec. 28. They pulled him over and arrested him without incident, according to the release.
