Shooting kills 22-year-old man at Arlington nightclub Sunday, police say

A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting outside an Arlington nightclub early Sunday, Nov. 17, according to a statement from police.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Opium nightclub, at 3200 Justiss Drive, around 5:25 a.m., police said.

The victim, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner as Janderver Saul Urbina-Betancourt, was found lying unresponsive in the parking lot with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the victim and others were attending an event at the nightclub that stretched into Sunday morning.

No arrests have been announced. Multiple shell casings were recovered from the parking lot, and investigators are canvassing the area for surveillance footage that might show what happened, police said.
