A 30-year-old man was shot to death on Sunday on a highway in Fort Worth after he was involved in an accident, authorities said.

A 30-year-old man was shot to death on Sunday on a highway in Fort Worth after he was involved in an accident, authorities said.

Emmanuel Torres died of a gunshot wound of the head, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Torres was shot about 2 a.m. at East Loop 820 and U.S. 287, authorities said.

Torres, who lived in Fort Worth, and a person unknown to police were involved in the crash and an argument before the shooting, authorities said.

The assailant left the scene. Fort Worth police homicide detectives are investigating.

Police have not announced an arrest.
