30-year-old fatally shot during argument in southeast Oak Cliff, Dallas police say

Dallas police are investigating the death of a 30-year-old man who was fatally shot after an argument in southeast Oak Cliff on Tuesday night, officials said.

Officers responded to the 2700 block of Gooch Street around 9:50 p.m. regarding a shooting call and found Jorge Antonio Pichardo Ortega lying on the ground. Police said Ortega and an unknown person were talking at that location and the discussion escalated into an argument. The suspect shot Ortega and fled the scene.

Ortega died from his injuries, police said, and the shooter is still at large.
