Police search for 18-year-old suspect accused in Euless shooting that injured teen
An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for an 18-year-old suspect accused of being involved in a shooting at an apartment complex that left a 16-year-old wounded.
Euless police identified the suspect they’re searching for as Daivien Emerson, who is about 5-foot-7 and weighs about 155 pounds.
The warrant charges Emerson with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Two other suspects are in custody related to the shooting, but Euless police did not release any information on them.
The shooting occurred about 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of East Ash Lane in Euless. The 16-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and he was taken to a local hospital.
The gunman, who was wearing a black hooded jacket and black sweatpants, ran away from the scene, Euless police said.
Several witnesses were on scene and were able to positively identify the suspect as Daivien Emerson, police said.
The shooting “stemmed from a running argument between the suspect and the victim,” a police spokesperson said.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Euless detectives at 817-685-1526 or Crime Stoppers of Tarrant County at 817-469-8477.
