One injured, one in custody after shooting in West 7th area, Fort Worth police say
One person was injured and another is in custody after a shooting in the West 7th area of Fort Worth early Friday morning, police said.
Shortly before 2:30 a.m. officers who were in the area on an unrelated investigation heard shots in the 2900 block of Morton Street, according to a police report.
The victim, who was identified in the report as a 29-year-old man from Mansfield, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
The suspect was taken into custody close to where the shooting took place, according to police, and gun violence detectives were notified.
