Police shoot armed woman at Dallas Love Field

An armed woman who was dropped off at Dallas Love Field Airport was wounded by a police officer after she opened fire inside the airport Monday morning, the Dallas police chief said. The 37-year-old woman, who was not identified, has been taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. No other injuries have been reported.

During and after a woman opened fire near a ticket counter at Dallas Love Field Airport on Monday, people inside the airport tweeted about the fear and confusion the shooting caused.

The woman, who has not been identified, reportedly shot a gun into the ceiling at about 11 a.m. A Dallas police officer shot her and she was taken to a hospital.

No other injuries were reported, but social media from those at the airport Monday showed people hiding behind chairs as they waited for someone to tell them what was going on.
