Lockdown lifted at Grapevine Middle School after police find no threat; all students safe

A lockdown at Grapevine Middle School in response to a possible security threat was lifted Friday around 12:30 p.m. after a police investigation found no threat or weapon on the campus.

The Grapevine Police Department posted on its social media pages just before noon on Friday that officers had received reports of a possible weapon on campus. The school was locked down during the investigation and all students are safe, police said.

The department thanked the school and the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD for responding quickly to ensure the safety of the students.
