Man said he fatally shot wife, kids because they were being ‘too loud,’ Dallas police say

A man told police that he shot and killed his wife and their two children in east Dallas after an argument on Monday morning, according to Dallas police and the man’s arrest warrant.

The man, identified in an arrest warrant as James Webb, told police that he and his wife, Victoria Bunton, woke up at about 10 a.m. and started to argue because he had a headache and his wife and children were being too loud. During the argument, Webb pulled out a gun and shot and killed Bunton and their 13-year-old and 16-year-old sons, according to the arrest warrant.

After an hour, Webb called 911 through his emergency medical alert device and told them what he did. Police went to an apartment complex in the 2600 block of John West Road at about 11 a.m. Inside, officers found a woman believed to be about 50 years old and two teenagers who had been fatally shot.

Police arrested Webb and took him to the Dallas police station, where police said he agreed to be interviewed without an attorney. He told police he was tired of his family yelling and telling him there was nothing wrong with him, so he shot them.

Webb faces capital murder charges.

“This is a horrible scene. This is a horrific incident,” Deputy Police Chief Reuben Ramirez told WFAA.
