Fort Worth police search for teens accused of shooting at truck with family inside

Fort Worth police asked for help Friday to find two teens accused of shooting at a truck occupied by a family of four on Tuesday.

Authorities did not report any injuries, but a bullet hit the door on the rear passenger side, where a 14-year-old girl was sitting.

Fort Worth police did not describe a motive for the shooting, which occurred about 6:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 4600 block of Wellesely Ave.

Detectives released photographs of the teens in hope that someone would recognize them and call police. The photos were images from nearby surveillance cameras.

The two teens fired four shots at the truck, Fort Worth police said.

The victims were part of an overnight cleaning crew and they had just finished a job at a dentist office, police said.

The two suspects are described as mid-to-late teens, about 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, with slender builds.

Anyone with information should call Fort Worth police at 817-392-4730.
