Gunman shoots, kills man near intersection in east Fort Worth, police say
A man died Thursday after being shot in the head in east Fort Worth, authorities said.
The victim was shot by an unidentified gunman.
The victim has been identified as Dale Jackson, 52, of Dallas, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website on Friday.
The shooting occurred just before 11:30 a.m. Thursday at East Daggett Avenue and Riverside Drive.
A caller reported that an unknown man had just shot his friend in the head, according to police call log.
Fort Worth police found the victim with a gunshot wound and he was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
Police arrived on the scene and combed the neighborhood for a suspect.
No other details were immediately released on the shooting.
