Child critical after driver fleeing domestic violence crashes in Dallas, police say

A woman who was fleeing a domestic-violence crime in Grand Prairie early Saturday lost control of her vehicle in Dallas, and two children were forced from it in a crash, WFAA-TV reported.

A 7-year-old was in critical condition and on life support after the crash, according to WFAA-TV, the Star-Telegram’s media partner. A 10-year-old was in serious condition and was stable, police said.

The woman was the victim of a domestic-violence crime about 1:45 a.m. in Grand Prairie, WFAA-TV reported. She was trying to flee the assailant when the vehicle crashed in the 4600 block of Jefferson Avenue, police said.

Beyond the driver, there were two other children and a man in the vehicle, police said.
