Man shot to death at northwest Fort Worth horse stable identified, authorities say

A 43-year-old man was slain Thursday night at a northwest Fort Worth horse stable, police said.

Arnulfo Omar Martinez of Fort Worth was shot to death about 9:15 p.m. in the 4100 block of Angle Avenue, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, a MedStar spokesman said.

The medical examiner’s office ruled that Martinez died from gunshot wounds to his chest.

Fort Worth police were searching on Friday for a person of interest in the case, a spokesman said. Police did not announce an arrest in the killing.

Also in northwest Fort Worth on Thursday, a man stabbed his girlfriend with a knife about 7:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of North Main Street, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries, police said. The suspect left the scene and was not in custody Thursday night.
