Driver fired at vehicle in Fort Worth before crashing, carjacking woman, police say
A driver fired a gun on people in another vehicle in south Fort Worth on Thursday before he crashed and then carjacked a woman in a pickup truck, police said.
Two people were in a pickup truck on the Southeast Loop 820 service road near Campus Drive and involved in a shootout about 6:45 a.m., police said. They were armed with a handgun and an AR-15 rifle, police said.
After a collision with a turning vehicle, they left their pickup truck and continued shooting at people on the freeway, police said.
No one was injured.
The suspects approached a woman sitting in a pickup truck and threatened her with a gun, police said. The suspects demanded her white 2005 Ford F-150 with a Texas license plate, BLF4824, police said.
Neither suspect had been arrested Thursday afternoon. Police named one as Anthony Gordon, 32.
Police said anyone with information on Gordon’s location should call 817-392-4381.
